How it all began
Theo’s Metals has been owned and run by passionate people who have engineering, material procurement and supply experience for more than 25 years. The bulk of our existing clients deal with us for two reasons:
- The convenience of one call for various products
- Speed of delivery
Many other clients enjoy dealing with us because:
- They don’t have to hold on for telesales staff and messages not being acted on
- Our supplied materials can be cut to your required lengths
- We source difficult to find items
- We undertake all forms of cutting, bending and shaping

Theo Wetter
Founder of Theo’s Metals
Theo Wetter has been in the engineering and metal business his entire career. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with unique and balanced experience in both large enterprise and start-up environments. He founded Theo’s Metals over 25 years ago with a vision to deliver superlative products and services to all customers.
Beatrice Wetter
Co Founder of Theo’s Metals
They say behind every successful man, is a strong woman. Beatrice shared Theo’s vision and started the business alongside him on a very small scale in 1992. Through all the trials and tribulations, their major feat is that they have been together for more than 50 years!
Karen Carty
Managing Director
Karen joined Theo’s Metals in April 1993, bringing a vast array of experience in all functional areas to the business. Karen manages the day-to-day operations and her core focus is listening to the customers’ requirements and delivering within the quickest time frame. The fact that customers repeatedly come back is testament to the great service they receive from Karen and the team.
Wesley Parish
Operations Manager
Wesley joined in August 2012, adding a great amount of value to the business with sales and his vast IT and management skills. He assists with the efficient running of Theo’s Metals. A friendly and pleasant man who will always go the extra mile in all aspects. Aspiring to eventually fill Theo’s shoes, which is a huge task to do.
Lizanne Delport
Sales Manager
Lizanne joined in March 2003, heading up sales & estimating. Her portfolio also involves many of the business’s administration aspects, like client liaison to ensure smooth running and ultimate customer satisfaction on all levels. She is well recognised in the market place, very loyal and always willing to do anything to assist wherever she can.
Maxwell Ngezu
Driver
Maxwell joined Theo’s Metals in June 2005 as a driver. He is customer focused and ensures that our customers’ goods arrive on time, every time. Passionate and reliable, Maxwell is another key team member.
Precious Nkorane
Administrator
Precious joined in January 2015 as an assistant in accounts. She deals with both debtors & creditors as well as administration. Precious is a passionate individual and truly enjoys making sure our debtors and creditors are up to date and all the boxes are ticked!
George Sekobi
Driver
George joined in June 1997 as a driver. He is focused on ensuring excellent quality delivery service and strives to meet all our customers’ delivery expectations. Having been with the company for more than 20 years, George is well known amongst many of our frequent customers.
